Army Officer Brings Meditation to Military Community

Major Victor Won, an active-duty Army officer stationed at US Army Garrison Kaiserslautern in Germany, has created an innovative mindfulness program for military personnel and their families. His weekly sessions help participants:

  • Develop coping strategies for military life

What the Mindfulness Program Includes

The classes feature three core practices:

  1. Mindful yoga - Combining movement with breath awareness
  2. Sitting meditation - Traditional mindfulness practice
  3. Walking meditation - Mindful movement exercises

"These techniques help soldiers and families manage the unique stresses of military life," explains Major Won.
